I said ethics, not morals. Have you never heard of business ethics?
No.

It has to do with no one ever voting for politicians again if they

I never voted anyway, I believe that a society run by politicians for
their own benefit is an unworkable societal model.

how the scam works and AOL is losing like 25% of their cusomers every

Doesn't bother me!

Senators are elected to protect communities

Are you calling what they did to the WTC "protection"?
Is the patriot act "protection"?
I'm not familiar with them.

So what? Maybe they should be.

Quote:
With all this "protecting" going on, who is protecting our

I wouldn't know what they were.

Did you say big employers or big campaign donators? I can't hear with
all the telecom tower construction going on here. They have so many
workers.
Same thing.

"AT&T's top IT exec says automation of its IT systems will let it shed
more than 12,000 jobs this year without hurting its network or

It still makes money. If it's based in County BB and I run it then I
expect the senator for that county to do what I tell him. Laying off
workers nationwide means I have more profits to spend in my county -
assuming that's where I spend them, of course.

Quote:
So who was protecting the 12,000 people who lost their jobs this year?
No-one if they were spread nationwide. You can't work that out?

Quote:
Hmm 12,000 x $20,000/year = just enough to pay off congress

They work very closely with the NSA. They already are watching.
Remember they admitted to recording every phone conversation and email
message?

And they store this in which fantasy?

"The National Security Agency has been secretly collecting the phone
call records of tens of millions of Americans, using data provided by
AT&T, Verizon and BellSouth, people with direct knowledge of the
arrangement told USA TODAY."

read more: http://www.usatoday.com/news/washing...5-10-nsa_x.htm
Ah. Phone call records or recordings of phone calls? There's a
difference. I don't care if someone knows I called whatever number as
I could have been talking about the price of fish.

Quote:
Don't let them take this tool away from us just because they have
enough money to buy the rules. We, the people, own the internet

We do? Why am I having to pay for it then?

You do not pay for the Internet, and you know that.
Computer, modem, broadband etc. I have to pay for access which is the
same thing.

Quote:
The Internet will
(hopefully) still be here after you're dead. You pay to rent a server
to host your site because you can't afford to buy your own. You also
pay a connection fee that should cover the cost of the infrastructure,
wires, satellites, and all (but the cost is bent by greedy telecom
monopolies). Internet will be in some cities via Wi-Fi, regulated (and
paid for) by the city governments (your taxes).
It'll also be hacked.

This is very real and is happening right now. If you care about
freedom at all, please sign the petition and write to your senators.

That's because this will hit their incomes, if it really happens. They

They ARE good guys. eBay is an American icon for Entrepreneurialship
Yeah?

Why do you think you are here?

Because Google doesn't sell out like our government.
Except in China.

Quote:
Google became
popular because they were bold enough to give us the truth instead of
telling us who pays them the most MONEY.
I missed that but I expect they thought appearing to tell the truth
was best for business. And you bought that, didn't you, you sucked it
all the wa-a-a-a-a-y up!

I guess it doesn't really matter what you believe, then. If you just
sit there like a pussy, refusing to stand up like a man, they will
decide your destiny for you. If they feed you shit, don't eat it.

1933-2001 History repeats itself:

In 1933 (Pre-WWII), Hitler set fire to his own Parliament building and

In 2001, Bush demolished the WTC and blamed terrorists.

Well, people that are more intelligent and better read than you are

We don't really have that here, there's libel and slander and such.
Thing is it costs big-time money to go to court so the rich can say
what they like about the poor with impunity. So the idea of free
speech is a bit of a joke.

Erm, not necessarily, it depends on what the people do. Tesco doesn't
create jobs locally, it destroys them along with the atmosphere, and
in the process feeds people with a bunch of pesticides and additives
that will make quite possibly them sick in the long term generating
huge hospital bills that the country can't pay because Tesco money
goes out of the country to its shareholders. Allegedly :-)) I can't
see how that benefits society. But, if you live in the immediate
vicinity of a Tesco shareholder, then you may be right as they'll have
more money to spread locally.

Hell no, see above.

Or are you already chewing on it, because you failed to vote?

If you don't like it = vote against it, or you won't have the luxury of
choosing. Unless you are too weak (or stupid in Paul's case) to stand
up for yourself; you will have to rely on the people around you to
stand up for you and your family while you cower in the corner.

knee.

I don't vote because voting supports the system that has me at the
bottom of it. Vote black, vote white, it's suggests acceptance of a
system I don't endorse. It can't be democracy if you can't vote
against it...

You really aren't getting this, are you? With such poor advocates, no
wonder net neutrality is going.
