I didn't even know this was cross-posted until the OPstarted their
"thang" - the hubby has the freebie version of Agent, wonder if that's
why I didn't notice as the version I have usually asks if you want to
crosspost or just reply to one group.
Anyway, about the crawling and such - msndude [and people thought
GoogleGuy sounded silly?] said they were working on that and the bot
should start appearing a bit more behaved ...
I have noticed a few more hits from MSN's way the past week or so -
but I think that is just due to the press release about their New
Search and some folks thinking the regular ol' Search is the new one
so checking it out. At least I have noticed some people, that one
would classify as casual or average surfer, didn't know that the reg.
search isn't showing the beta results. I will wait a couple months
after they go live before tweaking anything in thier favor.
Yahoo is pretty competitive with Google, according to my stats, to
merit a bit more than cursory thoughts on my side. Google still brings
in the most but Yahoo doesn't do too shabby for 2nd place on SE
thoughts in my stats. Right now, even with this 'spike' on MSN's side
- Teoma and Ask bring in twice the amount. I wonder if it this
resusitation attempt on MSN Search will work out in the end - or 3 to
5 years too late and just may remain considered #3 or #4?
