Default Redirect url for dynamic pages - 12-08-2003 , 07:00 AM

Hello all

I have a dynamic generated site, with urls who looks like

http://www.blabla.com/modules.php?na...s&new_topic=12

Will a search engine spider my site better with an redirect url to that
page, e.g. www.blabla.com/news?

Greetings,

Tristan.

Yes, at least in my experience.

I assume we're referring to using something like apache
mod_rewrite and rewriterules. Assuming so the question
I have is.. Let's say you're rewriting as in the above example
does google see the newly rewritten value only, the value before
doing the rewrite or both ? Cause if google appears to prefer
seeing www.blabla.com/news versus the other but actually sees
both then why would anyone care one way or the other ?
Also does google recognize that there has been a rewrite ?
