Default reason I am going up the SERPs - 04-14-2006 , 05:39 PM

It just occured to me... In the last two weeks I am observing my pages
going up for the few KWs I am tracing. I thought it is effect of some
earlier SEO actions, but I have just realized something. Lately there are
numerous posters here crying their sites were dropped from index. One of
my sites (ph-meter) was partially dropped from index too. So perhaps my
climbing is just a side effect of less competition?

Best,
Borek

That is precisely what I have been observing as well. I watched 20
competitors drop out into the SERP oblivion these last two weeks. Most of
these were "directory" type web sites that consisted of a conglomerate of
business listings operating under one umbrella.

They can't say they weren't fairly warned.

Dear Fred,

Would this page on my website http://www.doyletics.com/arjrevs.htm#ARJ

be considered a "directory" type page because it contains more than a
hundred links, all of which are other pages on my site, each one
containing an original review/essay written by m?

thanks,

Bobby

I doubt it. It's almost an HTML sitemap. You may find the later
anchor texts aren't indexed.

No, if at all, it would be seen as a site-map.

Neah , your competitors (enemies) never sleeps! Rember that ! they are
always hunting new links I think that it's about your incoming
links. those people who link to your website, could probabil get new
links,or loss some links, things like that!

Three comments:

There should be nothing between the head and the body. (search engines cope
with many errors but it may help to get it right)

The three links at the end of the page to venus, guestworld and venus should
all be made rel="nofollow" like so: ner=jeauxy">Sign should be amended
to: ner=jeauxy" rel="nofollow">Sign

Try to reduce the 121k file size. If you use a style line you can eliminate
duplication of font formatting throughout the giant table, for example. All
the cells don't need individually specified colour borders either.

Read the html source code to see the problems.

Best regards, Eric.

As PHP SoftGroups said, your competitor never sleeps. Never assume this.

Banned sites and evolving algorithms can lead to this, assuming you continue
to wear a crystal-clean, white hat.

Doorway pages are combatted too. I used to see them, but they just seem to
drop to oblivion recently.

Best wishes,

Roy
