As pointed out on WMW, there are now just three main players in the SE
market: Google, Yahoo and MSN.

I think that we are going to have to see MSN buying something, because they
aren't going to want to be partnered with Yahoo for their advertising... but
what is left? Findwhat/Espotting, Looksmart/Wisenut and Ask Jeeves/Teoma. Is
there anything else?

I can't see how Ask Jeeves would fit into MSN at all, but the other two
might make good purchases for MSN. It would give them two different PPC
systems plus a ready made search engine to develop.

But what about google, yahoo uses googles results. I nsuppose they will
start using inktomis insteam. Of course, wouldn't msn have to start using
googles to make up. Wait, but msn uses overture for its top 3? Will they
drom them? Seems all the search engines/directories are interconnected now.
Looks like we need an upstart.

Who owns fast/alltheweb, I forget :-)
