Default incoming links on Google - 06-30-2004 , 03:25 PM

I've got a website that I'm trying to make perform better in the
search engines. I've been good, and got some other websites to link
to my site. Those other websites are indexed by Google. Yet, when I
type 'link:www.net-guide.co.uk' into Google, none of those pages show
up. Does anyone know why this is..?

Google only shows PR4+ links.

Quite possibly it could be because they have low PR. Google can be
picky about this and not show back links from pages with PR of less
than 4. So this is possibly why you have links, but they don't show up
in your search.

Didn't we determine a while back that if as and when they felt like it
they would?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.........

[rain ceases, clouds part, small shaft of understanding appears]...

I get it now. Thanks for clearing that up for me! And I thought PR
was essentially pointless...

Run!
That's neither a shaft of understanding (alternative joke pops into mind)
nor a ray of sunlight - it's a tractor beam.
Next thing you know you'll be on the mothership having your brains sucked
out.
