charts of tags for google....

Hi,
I studied a lot about google.... but I have a big question....
What are the most important tag for google...? Is it possible to do a list
of importance.

For example...what is in position 1 ?

At first I was sure the TITLE...but now I am not anymore sure about
this...for me it became the text....

And then ?....would be nice to hear you comments....

This is what I have found in my experience with Google:

1. Quality inbound text links. Have sites of related subject (especially
those with a high PR) link to your site. This can increase your PR in
return.

2. Original content. Create well-written content with your keywords.
Offer content that isn't offered somewhere else, be creative with your
copy writing.

3. Page titles. Use keywords in your titles, but keep them escriptive of
the page.

You are right about titles. I have a site getting over 10,000 visits a
month with no meta tags at all except the title tag on any of the
pages on the site.
And the title has only the main keyword phrase in it. I lean more
towards short titles for google.

How does googlebot recognize "well written" over poorly written?

I agree being creative. Sometimes its easier to compete using keywords
that are relevant but not highly used or even thought of by your
competion.

I did the SEO on a college site that was actually getting more hits
for the word progamming misspelled "programing" than for the correct
spelling.
And it gives them a small advantage because alot of computer
programming schools wouldnt dream of adding a misspelled word to their
site.

Google pays a lot of attention to the number of inbound
links...and that's how it judges how well written and
unique the site is...using the assumption that the better
the site the more the inbound links

Of course there has been much debate over how well that works.

I am still not sure to use a very short title, or a longer one.
