Any changes in content risks the fluctuating of ratings. Try to place
the same amount and placement of keywords you rank for in the same way
as the old page when you do the changes.

Hello

I have this website that was started in year 2000 and has many pages
indexed by google and by other search engines.
The site runs php/mysql

Page rank 5 etc..

The thing is the cms is very primitive and i need to improve the
back-end and also the design, so basically i am going to have a better
"structure" with the same content.

I rank top 10 on google for many keywords and my concern is that maybe
i lose that when i transfer the contents to the new structure?

What do you think would be the correct steps for the transfer? And what
mistakes i must not do?

Thx in advance

Another thing, the search engines may be testing and rankings would
change because of this. So let it site for a little while in case they
are before undoing your changes.
