In essence Google concerned are with returning quality search results to
their customers as this in turn drives their revenue stream. If you make

are unlikely to create any issues. If you make alterations to your site in
an attempt to deceive the search results then this could be a different
matter. My guess is that they would be bothered by what you are trying to
do.
In other words, stay ethical and you'll probablky be ok (cue endless
discussion on what "ethical" means.....sigh....).
