I have a site that has 7 main keywords in the meta title tag seperated
by | and each main keyword has shown up high in its serp except for
one. But in order for it to work it requires some anchor text for each
keyword in the title when you post for backlinks.

If you sell mustard flavored icecream, your title might look like this:

Mustard Flavored Ice Cream | Mustard Flavored | Mustard Icecream

In the "html" coding of your website, you would see:
<TITLE>Mustard Flavored Ice Cream | Mustard Flavored | Mustard
Icecream </TITLE>

However, I personally just found out that | is the html code for | (to get
the | symbol, you just hold the shift key on your keyboard and click that key
above the "enter" key)
