Well, dang. All that happened was my newsreader dropped this group due
to some little corruption glitch-thingee -- so in order to save the time
it would take to download search my isp's entire nwsfeed to find this
group and resub, i sent a test message to two groups -- this one and
another one that is mostly empty but to which i happen to be subscribed.
When my message appeared in the near-empty group, about 2 seconds later,
i opened it and clicked on the link to this group, which re-opened and
re-subbed me in my newsreader, all fresh and rosy-cheeked.

Nothing weird, just trying to save 45 seconds loading time.
