Martin I've got an interesting puzzle for you concerning your PR website. |
|
This website: http://www.rabbit-trax.net/links.php has only 3 backlinks but all 3 are PR8 yet the site only is a PR2. It's had the backlinks for a very long time and it's not a new site. How do you account for this? |

Didn't see that coming, be nice to Martin, then again he is after help solving something he doesn't understand. How do you account for this? The links are all from http://www.phpbb.com which is PR9. this link http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/memberlist.php is PR8 and should be more than enough to run a large business from if used correctly. For many months now Google has stopped transferring PR from links like these from very high PR pages. What Dave said. An interesting application of the formula (and the spreadsheet) is that the number of links doesn't have to be integral. Google could easily assign half or 1/100th importance to certain types of links - and the formula would still be valid. -- /Martin Hagstrøm www.PageRank.dk |
