We've used XQASP and it is very effective, particularly for
larger database sites. One of our clients now has over 5,500
pages indexed in Google and saw their traffic rise from 90-100
visitors a week to over 1,000 just by implementing the
workaround. It's seriously useful and takes no time at all to
implement.

Hi Henry,

Unfortunately the only free solution is Mod:Rewrite which will only work on
an Apache Webserver so not suitable for you. A solution I employed a while
ago to this problem was to write a script that output static html pages from
the master database. I then created one long page with links to all these
new pages and submitted that to the deep crawl engines.

Good luck!

Hi,

I have a site that is dynamically generated from a database using ASP
the URL of each page looks like:-

main.asp?page=24

I've just read that google and hotbot do spider dynamic pages buth others
dont.

Two products that say the remove this problem by placing a / instead of a
?
are from

Are there any free or cheaper programs that do the same or is there any
sort
of work around?
Any experiences with any of the above programs?

cheers,

Henry
