Everything that you thought you knew about Google is changing.

There is no Google Dance - not in the traditional monthly sense.

Think of it as a "dance til you drop contest" - you can get sites into
the index in days now - but the static Google index with a monthly
flux is gone for now.

Freshbot is your friend. If you can keep freshbot interested in your
site - you can pretty much count on being crawled continuously.

Good luck.

This maybe the case but what is going to happen to new backlinks and PR
calculations. Will they still update on a monthly cycle as I am not seeing
any daily changes on my site?

Interesting, where did you learn about google's change from the monthly
dance? It was my understanding that the dance was done once a month for
practical reasons, since the database was so huge.

Any information on how long it will take for new pages on an active site to
become listed or updated? Is PR going to be updated throughout the month as
well?

Any details about the change would be helpful. Perhaps you could provide a
reference link to a web site or forum?

Do a search for 'Google News' which is in

There are many other forums there.

This is purely my speculation, but I think that sites are now added to
the index pretty quick, but PR and backlinks may still be on a
scheduled update.
