CARS is the Cable Antenna Relay Service. The major search companies
have their own private Intranet to connect their datacenters. When you
do a search on Google or Yahoo, for example, the search goes to a
datacenter local to you. That search request is then relayed to the
main Google or Yahoo search databases via the CARS network and the
results are relayed back to you.
