To the original poster.

If you have a budget available then I'd suggest you pay for a
commercial log analysis package. The freebie does justn't give
you the depth of information needed to do the job justice.

We use Webtrends and Net Tracker, dependant on whether the site
is housed with us or elsewhere. Net Tracker (http://www.sane.com
is particularly good for drilling down into the information, so
you can spot the search engines, drill down into the engine and
get the search phrases and numbers, but you can also produce nice
to look at reports for executives who may only be interested in
the top level stuff.

It's just a personal preference (and we've used the majority of
the free and commercial packages).

Settled on http://www.analog.cx/docs/Readme.html

Free and does what I need with a few scheduled NT commands.

Hi guys,

I've been lurking here for a while and have gained a lot of useful
advice from you, infact I've managed to take my site from unlisted to
a general top 10 in Google for relevant searches. Thanks for that.

Meantime I have been looking at web log analysis software (for Windows
and NT servers) the one which has impressed me most for ease of use is
123loganalyzer - any comments or other recommendations before I buy?
Cheers
