I first learned the acronyms IBL-inbound links OBL-outbound links |

Then when I saw the BL abbreviation in this group I was confused as to the existence of "-bound links"? :-) |

Also regards terminology, why do SEOs use the word 'spam'? In general useage spam = unsolicited email, from the Monty python sketch where spam is served with every meal (ie. you always get junk-mail with the mail you want). Spamming to SEOs seems to mean anything that might be considered 'black-hat' (Keyword stuffing, redirects, cloaking etc.) , but to me these seem to have no logical connection with the common usage of 'spam' or it's etymology. |
