I own a website www.bidstop.co.uk
It's a new auction type website.
Anyhow..... the problem?
I can't find it on any major search engine ie ,google, yahoo, msn etc.The
only
person to find it is ask jeeves. great i guess at least it exists.
I have meta tags i assume are correct but havent got a clue.I have
manually
uploaded the site to about 20 or so search engines and also paid money to
a
search engine company to upload it to 800,000+ engines. |
I also paid for 800000 engines but now get a lot of spam and error
messages (non existent engine email adress). I havent seen any relevant
result with this.
Adwords in Google helped a lot anyway. We immediately got
Ads viewed on Google and were able to begin to work.
And paying Altavista and Looksmart (MSN) gave us good
results. We did this to get immediate results but plan to stop
paying as soon as we have our site indexed and visible
on the engines Looksmart, Altavista amd Google.
I cant find any error on your site. But I am *not* an
expert on this. The only objection I have is your title
as the title is used in several engines. If I am not wrong
the keywords in the title are important, the word "auction"
e.g. should appear in the title to make your site important
for the engines who look for "auctions". At least I think so.
To get importance in Google you still are recommended to
have many internal and external links. Read the SEO
information in Google and the site

Hopes this helps,
