Why can you not optimize ASP pages? Do the same thing as HTML pages. ASP
is a server-side scripting language that delivers content to a browser.
Once the content reaches the browser, it is no different.

The ASP files still reside in your directory at your host. they are not
virtual...that is a mis-understanding.

with the codes and the data is called from some database .and the
content shown up by the asp pages are rary used for optimization.

Because What the need optimized the Contact us form. and other asp
pages.

Again My Question is Same Is There Any Way To Optimze the ASP Pages

If you were a web expert, you would start by listening.

I told in in my last post how to do it...just like you do HTML.

Pay attention...school is in session...look at this site
http://www.vacuum-sealers.net

ALL ASP my friend.

Ranks well in all engines except for Google for "vacuum sealers".

What you've heard is garbage, what you are being taught, for free, is
golden.

Don't ask for help if you are not willing to listen.

Hey Bill,

This is why I got short with him....

What?? Back to school...We've Been doing ASP since 1997...
ASP does not necessarily have to do with a database, that is only one aspect
of their dimension.
ASP pages are dynamic content generators...when you think o fthem as they
they truly are, you will understnad ho they work.

Again, read the responses if you need an answer.

If he really read my first reply he would see that he really does not have
that good of a grasp of ASP pages and how they work with regard to SEO.

I don't like being short but geez. If someone asks for help and then
doesn't recognize it when it slaps them in the face...I get frustrated.

What he needs to see is that ASP DELIVERS HTML ot the browser. When you
start thinking that way, you will quickly see how to optimize ASP or PHP
pages for SEO...it is really quite simple.

I'm not saying he doesn't read them, I'm suggesting his English is so
poor that he doesn't understand them when he does. He may think he
does though, which further confuses everyone.

I see your point but the solution = the index page of the site is
"default.asp". That page is indexed everywhere right?
This site just went live with new content less than a week ago so Google et
al have only spidered the homepage.

Google just recently "bounced" this site and killed off all PR and I am
using it as an experiment to see if Google will bring back the site without
me having to beg.

There are other sites that have indexed ASP files for instance;
type in "allinurl:www.asp101.com" in Google.

My literature sites starting at http://www.classic-literature.co.uk/
are 99.99% asp pages (10s of thousands of ASP pages). The main index
for the main home page is html and the pages.html pages (i.e.
http://www.classic-literature.co.uk/...ing/pages.html)
are html, rest are ASP.

Google and other engines treat them just the same as any other html
page since the ASP code is converted to html server side and search
engine spiders don't see the ASP code, they only see the end product.

The home page of http://william-shakespeare.classic-literature.co.uk/
is index.asp. The right menu consists of three include files, the top
one looks like this-

<div class="right_menu_top">
<a href="http://www.classic-literature.co.uk/"><strong>Classic
Literature</strong></a><br>
<a
href="http://www.classic-literature.co.uk/authors.asp">Authors</a><br>
<a href="http://king-james-bible.classic-literature.co.uk/">King James
Bible</a><br>
<a href="http://william-shakespeare.classic-literature.co.uk/">William
Shakespeare</a><br>
<a href="http://sherlock-holmes.classic-literature.co.uk/">Sherlock
Holmes</a><br>
<a href="http://www.charles-dickens.org/">Charles Dickens</a><br>
<a href="http://charles-darwin.classic-literature.co.uk/">Charles
Darwin</a><br>
<a href="http://mark-twain.classic-literature.co.uk/">Mark
Twain</a><br>
<a
href="http://robert-louis-stevenson.classic-literature.co.uk/">Robert
Louis Stevenson</a><br>
<a href="http://www.jules-verne.co.uk/">Jules Verne</a><br>
<a href="http://www.classic-literature.co.uk/bram-stoker/">Bram
Stoker</a><br>
<a href="http://detective-stories.classic-literature.co.uk/">Detective
Stories</a><br>
<a href="http://fairy-tales.classic-literature.co.uk/">Fairy
Tales</a><br>
<a href="http://www.free-recipes.co.uk/">Free Recipes</a><br>
<a href="http://business-ebooks.classic-literature.co.uk/">Business
Ebooks</a><br>
<a href="http://romance-books.classic-literature.co.uk/">Romance
Books</a><br>
</div>

The three include files are referenced in the body of the index.asp
page at the right place with this code-

<div class="right_menu_container">

<!--#include file="filename1.asp"-->

<!--#include file="filename2.asp"-->

<!--#include file="filename3.asp"-->

</div>

Where filename1.asp is the txt file that holds the list of links I
pasted above.

Google and other bots never see this ASP code since on the server it's
converted to what you see when you view source for this page-
http://william-shakespeare.classic-literature.co.uk/ look for <div
class="right_menu_container"> near the bottom of the source.

As James pointed out several times optimising ASP pages are no
different to html pages. You look at the results after the server has
done it's stuff and optimise that via the ASP code.

If you have complex ASP code then it's not as simple as optimising a
simple HTML page, but the principle is exactly the same. The ASP code
is irrelevant, it's what you see in the browser that's important since
that's what spiders see.
