Problems with Alta Vista search.

Unstable search counts and returned results for repeated queries.

For example:

Search term: electronics and "colo*r sensor*"

Result 1 118 hits
Result 2 945 hits
Result 3 948 hits, but only 717 displayable
Result 4 87 hits, --> 63 when paging to next page.

The above queries were made within an hour of each other. Many other examples.

Does anybody know what is going on here?
