be had in 1-2 weeks or less; I got one site listed within 24 hours of
submitting (no kidding!).

Or InfoSeek's immediate listings after submitting. Tweak, submit, check
ranking. Repeat....

Those were the days!

Just imagine if we'd all known about the forthcoming advent of Google and
PageRank back then.. you could have got some really hot backlinks really
easily :-)
