I know you study this stuff more than me...when did we first see
evidence of the sandbox? Was it pre or post-Florida?

Wrong person to ask really as I've only been into SEO since June. And
the first I noticed of it was about a month ago. So I can only give
you second hand information. The articles I've read started appearing
from around April this year.

BTW most articles assume the sandbox is routine for new sites after a
few weeks, but that is certainly wrong. All my sites that ever got
good rankings had them right from the start and have kept them.
