Default Question regarding Gigablast - 10-15-2006 , 12:38 AM

I just came across this search engine recently and I read it doesn't
pull from Google, Yahoo, MSN or Ask and has it's own spider to crawl. I
see you can submit a url to it but the link is down.

What's your opinion of this search engine?

Gigablast's web submission form has been "temporarily disabled" for months
now - I don't know what's going on.

Their search results are pretty good, but a few recent searches I did
returned a number of kinda spammy sites (as well as some good ones) on the
first couple pages.

I discovered a neat new social search engine the other day, Sproose.com -
you can rate sites to effect how they show up on subsequent searches.

best,
Denise

If you need to submit to a non-specialist search engine, then it ain't worth
it.

Search engines usually have spiders to crawl the web - they find you.

If they can't find your site, why trust them to find any decent site?
