Default Question about Google PageRank - 08-03-2003 , 09:06 AM

As per my understanding in order to have a PageRank of 6 or above, a
site needs to have a good amount of incoming links from GOOD & high
ranked sites. But this does not hold true for over 100 odd sites of
Thomas Register (the sites in their -ez.com series). For eg:
http://www.abrasives-ez.com/abrasives/ has a PageRank of 6 and it
just has only one incoming link...
and a whole other set of sites listed on the following page also share
the same thing.
www.thomasregister.com/ezsearch/ez_list.html

Can someone explain this to me please?

Thank you !

-Is it a high or low PR7, if high the linked pages could also be PR7,
if low then PR6 or lower. It's assumed a PR 7 means anywhere between
PR6.50 (low PR7) and PR7.49 (high PR7) the Google Toolbar doesn't show
this detail. The difference between a high PR7 and low PR7 is a LOT.
thats another of adult lingerie's posts i don't see

Did you attend the Thomas Register Sponsored conference on SEO two weeks ago
in Southern Cali?

I was there so I thought I would ask.

Thomas Register has benefited from a ton of content and paid placement with
a budget of over $1 million dollars a year with Google alone. Google will
soon remove many of the duplicate and multiple hits that the ez pages are
now enjoying.

Our SEO clients in Southern California have been beating the TR rankings
consistently for all of their keywords for the past four years, and getting
plenty of business from it.

Your best bet is to get someone to rank you well organically, and it will be
far cheaper than what the TR is charging.
You can even stay around here and learn a bunch.
