I asked some webmaster to remove my unique name from their website. They agreed (either editing the page, or removing it entirely). |
|
But the information is still in the cache at Google. When I google my unique name, Google still gives 78 occurences for it, out of which 70 are NO LONGER valid. Those pages were second class pages (archived old forum discussions, maily), with a PageRank of zero. How long does it take for Google to re-index thoses pages - if ever? |

This forum is the one you asked the webmaster to remove your name? When the pages are removed they also have to be physically removed by informing Google. If you sit and wait it could be a while. Now if this old forum aren't the pages you asked to remove and such well it will stay as long as the page stays and could be longer to never until the old forum page is removed and removed from the index. |

Sorry, but I did not get your meaning. The pages were on a specific forum (not this one, just a web-based forum). The pages are no longer on that specific forum (the webmaster agreed to remove them and/or edit them). How long will it take before Google re-indexes the pages that have been either removed or edited? |

"OK, once the page has been removed from the server as the webmaster said he did doesn't remove it from the index." --> OK, so it is possible that my unique name is no longer on the website, it it no longer in the cache, but when people google my name, they are sent to pages... that no longer exist. Right? And this can last for monthes, even years. Did I understand you proprely? |
