Default Problem with indexing different sites/virtual hosts - 11-09-2006 , 04:52 PM

Hi all,

I have a webserver that beside my own site, hosts a couple of other
sites. My own site is indexed by google but the other guys are having
trouble making google find their sites.
They have been waiting for about 6 months for the search engines to
find them (with submitting), but nothing happens.
No robots.txt except my own in the webroot.
-----------------------------------------
User-agent: *
Disallow: news.html
Disallow:
-----------------------------------------

Their sites reside in subdirectories under the webroot. "htdocs" is the
webroot.
"venom" is one of the directories/sites.

Do you think that I have done a misconfiguration in my httpd.conf or do
you have any other ideas?

Virtual host example:
<VirtualHost *:80>
ServerAdmin venom (AT) hotmail (DOT) com
DocumentRoot /usr/local/apache2/htdocs/venom
ServerName example.com
ServerAlias www.example.com
ErrorLog logs/error_log
AddDefaultCharset ISO-8859-1
</VirtualHost>

They have <META>-tags in their pages (with keywords and description and
so on). That shouldn´t be the problem.

Thx for helping me out

/ Flower

Submitting is a waste of time. Get links to other sites and they will be
indexed. Post links here and if we can access these sites Google should be
able to do it as well, moreover, it can be enough for googlebot to visit
these sites.

Oki. Thanks for answering. One of the sites is:
http://fromhell.se/
I´ve also noticed that this site used the <noframes>-tag in the
index.html
But the tag was empty.
Doesn´t seem good accordning to me. I have told him about this fact.
Maybe he has already changed it.
