Default prefix role??? - 10-24-2005 , 04:09 AM

Hi all,

can anybody say why Google add different PRs for same domain with and
without "www" prefix?
Is bot so stupid to not to see that this is the same site?
How to do right to get most possible PR?

Thanks in advance.

And don't be amazed if your PR stays similar-

What are you on about? Amazed about what, no reason to do what?
What's your question got to do with your subject line?

Yes, but don't expect to get twice the PageRank. I would recommend to do it
though, since there is no real need in most cases for the www prefix.

This was discussed before. See entire thread by following the address below:

They are the same page as yes by default your index page. But they are
actually 2 seperate pages. Google will not penalize you, but you need to get
it fixed so that the pages will be the same so you will gain all of your PR
to one place.

I see that you take an example from Mr. Kurpela. I think he might have had a
thing or two < http://www.cs.tut.fi/~jkorpela/usenet/ > to say on the
matter, but his fierce arguments usually take the threads nowhere and repel
list subscribers/lurkers.

That wasn't my intention at all though, just meant to give the OP a
hint. Seeing his reply to my post, apparently this hint wasn't clear
to him/her, so I'll try again in reply to that post of his/hers.

It only makes sense to people who are following this thread closely.

Let me explain:
Please quote the relevant part(s) of the message you're replying to,
as not everybody remembers, or even has read, the previous message in
a thread. Worse even: Not everybody sees the thread in the threaded
form you probably do, so they have no way of finding out what you are
replying to.

Thanks :-)
