Hello all. I have received a great deal of help from this group and I
greatly appreciate it. I have implemented many of the suggestions I
got from this group and it has greatly improved my site
performance...I appreciate it. I am now having a new prob....my stats
are taking a nosedive. I am not sure what is going on. If you take a
look at my stats.... http://www.propline.com/stats_files/stats.htm

You can see that back in Feb I implemented a bunch of changes to the
site and had a great improvement. Since the first of Sept. it is
taking a nosedive. Can anyone take a look at the site
http://www.propline.com and offer advice on what may be going on? Did
a major search engine change their ranking system maybe? Any advice
would be greatly appreciated.

I just had Quick look at your website, following things i found might
be starting hurting you.

Excessive Meta (No need of many things in the HEAD Title, Description,
Keyword and Robots tags are enough.

I will suggest you to re-optimize your Title and Descriptions if it is
not updated, check your backward links.

http://www.propline.com/Select-Boat-...llers/main.htm

The above path is too long, I always recommend to use and Flat
directory structure, There are 2 reason for not having long path i.e.

a) Spider avoid following long URL's
b) Current path clearly suggest that you are stuffing keyword in your
URL
I strongly say put all your important files at root folder so spider
can index it well. Avoid long file names too.
Above things are very important from SEO point of view, Try those
things you will get some results,

BTW how old is your website is?

Let me knoe anything else you like to know, on yahoo messenger

A word or two from me.

<Meta name="robots" content="index,follow">
<Meta name="language" content="EN">
<META name="author" content="Scott Shepherd">
<META name="copyright" content="Copyright (c) 2004 by Propline">
<META name="revisit-after" content="15 days">
<META name="reply-to" content="scott (AT) propline (DOT) com">
<META name="document-classification" content="Internet">
<META name="document-rights" content="Copywritten Work">
<META name="document-type" content="Public">
<META name="document-rating" content="Safe for Kids">

Get rid of all them, they're useless. Stretch your css so that it
includes all those often repeated font tags you use. That'll do for
starters.
