Default Obtaining relevant links - 11-29-2005 , 03:48 PM

Could someone please give me some pointers on where I could obtain some
highly relevant links for our web site www.anrodscreen.com? We are listed
in several directories but Google does not list any when doing a
link:anrodscreen.com and only a few when doing a link:www.anrodscreen.com.
We also have some irrelevant links listed in Yahoo that I am working on
getting rid of...

Thank you,

I had great success with Zeuss (the free edition)

You customise the spider to search critera and site relevance through an
initial fairly time consuming process.

Then configure the auto e-mailer with your own words to make it appear as
a personalised message to each and every contact, and select the sites to
e-mail.

Before long you'll have more sites than you can shake a pointy stick at.
(though many won't of course respond to your requests).

Yes, I used that and Arelis in the old days but have given them up. Suppose
I could resurrect them to at least find potential sites... Was wondering if
there were an easier way (maybe someone had a site that was relevant and
would put a link on for me or point me to a site that would link to us).

I started with the free Zeus, heard through the grapevine that Google did
not like it, upgraded to the paid version about 2 years ago, then, last year
got rid of the large link directories created using those programs but
retained some of the more relevant links (on other sites, never used those
programs for this site).
Don't know about the 3-way exchanges. Will have to revive Zeus soon and
check it out, at least for finding potential sites.

You could try my Teoma Tools philosophical approach.
www.kruse.co.uk/teoma-tools.htm

then you could tell me if it works or not, I've not had time to try
yet.

You might start by contacting the websites that mention you without
actually linking to you. I see several more results, for example, but
searching just on anrodscreen instead of just the link. Ask these guys
to create a link.

Beyond Zeuss (already mentioned) another free tool is the Yahoo
Hubfinder. This tool finds the high-ranking authority sites for your
keywords and then finds the hubs that link to these authority sites.
The idea is that these hubs are often (though not always)
hobbyist/personal sites, less professional, and hence a little easier
to contact the webmaster.

I used HubFinder to find hub sites for "cylinder filter" --
unfortunately, I only got mirrors of the DMoz directory. It looks like
you have your work cut out for you.

Here's discussion about HubFinder:

Here's my mirror of the tool:
