Not filtering? Who are we kidding!?!

Hi all

Pre Florida, I used to be #2 ~ 6 for a search term - new homes in Ontario.
Now I'm not in first 1000. We know the story :-).
Basically the same story for California, Texas, New York ... about 10
largest US states and biggest province - Ontario in Canada -
I'm not existing for Goggle. But for other states I have solid position.
Have a look what Google gives for same search terms - different states or
provinces:

You might try changing your TITLE tag to mroe accurately reflect what you
want to be ranked by...if I ma reading your site correctly.

If you are newhomesreviews, your TITLE tag sets more precedence on NEW HOMES
REVIEWS than NEW HOMES ONTARIO. You might want to change it to comething
like "New Homes Ontario" and call it good, monitor it for about 4-6 weeks to
se the difference. Or, if you really want your company name in there, add
that AFTER your real title.

Hi James,

I have a page: "New Home Reviews - New Homes Ontario", that is the one that
is gone from Google as well as
other 10 most populated states in US for witch I have separate pages..
My main page is doing ok for terms New Homes in Canada and so on..
Did you see the different in serps for different states? The point is that
for some pages of different states I'm there, but
10 or so are just gone from first 1000. I will take 256 or 886 position if
my SEO is not good, but 1000+ is not coincidence.

was how to beat those first four for :

regional which is why you come up strong for your specific regional
keywords.

My results are none existent for generic searches but for regional I

Thanks for posting that link.

I was about to write a reply about how the author didn't explain why so many
relevant sites were lost and irrelevant sites made it (like the Ontario
nursing home site in Admin's example at the start of this thread).

I did a search for 'local' real estate and found that the article looked to
be amazingly correct. So I did a search on Yahoo and MSN for the same term.
The serps were different than google, but, really, it appears to me that the
google results are more accurate when you look at the content.
