Default <noindex> any effect ? - 01-26-2006 , 03:22 PM

Hey

Does it make any difference if I put <noindex></noindex> around some of my
code/text on my site, that is irrelevant to the target keywords ? I.e.
"login, home, about" ... etc etc are irrelevant for google to index.

Is it of any value to pack irrelevant text or code in noindex then ?

The only effect will be to make your pages invalid (x)html, if they aren't
already.

There is no such thing as a <noindex> HTML tag. Maybe this is what you were
thinking of: http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/appe...html#h-B.4.1.2
