Default My site is #33 for Phentermine - 10-02-2006 , 03:31 PM

Holy fsck, I learned today that my site algebra.com shows up as #33 in
search for that goddamn medication Phentermine.

I suppose that it means that the Phentermine market is not that hard
to break into....

Also means they haven't twigged that your site is broken. Yet.

Check your backlinks on Yahoo and see if someone has found a way to post
their links onto your site (insecure scripts, CGI scripts that accept GET
queries, comment spam etc.)
There is little reason for spammers to link to your site with this word in
the anchor (which is how you got ranked for that word) if they cannot post
their own links on your site, so there's got to be a backdoor someplace.
just look carefully.

Good luck!

They posted Phentermine spams to forums on my site.

I wrote a script to delete all such spams every 10 minutes.

Do such spams hurt my google rankings (ie does Google start to think
that my site is "spammy")?

It's one of the most spammed keywords. I wish they had stopped making
drugs... or gave up on brand names... or shielded SEPR's by Googlebombing
the Wikipedia page.

Well, this approach worked for casino terms like 'poker'.

phentermine spamming

I have a website forum that (was) plagued by these
guys. I routed all posts through a function that
search for keywords, like phentermine, porno,
names for enlargeable body parts, etc.
That worked, sort of, but they kept finding
ways to change the spellings and still get in.

Then I installed a captcha package I found on
sourceforge. I tweaked the code a little,
to reduce the number of digits that had to
be typed, and to make the captha image
easier to read.

My forum/user/cutomers don't mind a bit,
and I have not been spammed ONCE since
doing this. 100% of this spam comes from bots.
The bots cannot read a captcha image.
Captha keeps the bodypart-suckers away.

I would cut their hands off for first offense,
and then the bodypart for a second offense.
But there is no way to catch these pricks.

I'm sorry for the late reply, Igor. I don't really check here often
anymore.

Anyways, no, you should not be overly concerned. Google PhDs are no idiots
and everybody knows about comment spam. However, if you are running
AdSense, then it can hurt your ad targeting. So, if you are promptly
deleting those, you should be fine.
