Default multilingual webpage - 07-03-2004 , 06:13 AM

Hi there,

I have webpage in almost 10 different languages. But
1. you can change langauge clicking on the graphic link (flag)
2. if you click on the flag, you won't move to new php. file - the file
will be same, but address would look like this:
www.page.com?lajsfk=10&language=en; np.

Questions: how can I register my webpage in searchengines corectly? I mean
to register it in many different languages.....

It's a little OT but you might want to have a look at this article on the
use of flags.

Thanks, but I do not suppose that we understood . I would like to know HOW
can I correctly submit my webpage in search-engines. For exemple:
1. I suppouse to submit every language version separately? What then with
the "long" address for exemple ww.page.com/index.php?
blabla=10&blabla=10&blabla=10&blabla=10&. as far as I know search-engines do
not "like" it too much.
2. or submit just web page (what then with the graphic link? - search
engines do not consider it as a valuable link)

Yes, you misunderstood that this was an off-topic comment pointing out an
issue with your plan not related to the problem in general. Welcome to
Usenet. Surely someone will have a response along the way which is more
pointed to your issue, but hey, you're getting bonus information now.

Well, anyway thanks. So could someone tell me where I should ask for
somthing like this? I thought that search-engine group is also about
submiting to search-engines.

If all your pages can be spidered, then there's no need to worry about
submissions. As long as the bots can find your site and then index it by
travelling along the links it will be OK. The language issue gets sorted out
in the indexing/searching.
