I doubt it is worth paying to be in any directory if you are hoping for
it to significant generate traffic. In terms of IBL they are at best
selling a PR6 page with around 30 outbound links and at worst a PR0
page. Is that worth making a very rich man even richer?

I'd rather have a SE who is fourthright with their intentions. If you have a
well coded Site that is not spam and contains useful information , it ought
to be indexed perhaps for the 1st year free. Then someone from the SE who
does their homework, ought to contact you with your hits from that SE and
see if its worth your investment to continue in it for the $49.00 or
whatever. Unlike Google, who in my experience, seems to push adsense on you
when you have an awesome month of hits from their SE, and drops your pages
that brought in the most hits without giving a reason or explanation at all.
My opinion on Google right now is purely speculative, and I could be wrong,
but knowing corporate GREED when success is made in such a big way, I am
sorry if I sound paranoid, but it could well be true. MSN would be wise to
take a different approach than just demanding a fee without giving away some
'samples' so to speak. Also, it seems they already know Googles approach,
although well intended, has its set of associated problems with it too.

What is this msn directory ?. I can't find it. I can find Web, News,
Shopping, Encarta and Groups - but no directory ?
The msn search now seems to be the new algorithmic version. Is this so? If
so it looks good to me.
Best regads, Eric.
