MSN revamps search, goes head to head with Google

The MSN algo gives weight to TITLE, domain and url text. It uses Inktomi

It looks better, the search results seem to be free of directory sites which
seem to have crept back into the Google serps again lately.

The downside is that the results are returned in the old format with the
dreary Microsoft Blue at the top.

Yes it is good that the directory stuff that polutes so much of goodle
isn't there. I'm also coming across sites that are just pages of links
generated from google, it is like google is vanishing up its own rear end.
