Default Major Google Shift - 03-06-2004 , 01:15 AM

Big changes again for google right now. It seems that they are moving
back more towards 11/16 algo and more informational sites and less
commercial sites. I really like the 11/16 algo both as a viewer and as a
seo because as a viewer there's less spam to wad through and more
relevant interesting sites to look at and as an seo because my
competition vanishes into oblivion. But who knows by this time tommorrow
it could go the oppossite way again you never know.

I have some rather sophisticated automated tools to check on this sort of
thing, and I see no significant changes across the board on Google. I say
false alarm.

Hi Sam

I've seen some small changes over the last few hours, don't think I describe
it as another 11/16 though.

One thing I have been curious about is that I haven't seen (unless I missed
it somehow) a PR or backlink update since Feb 11th. This makes me think
Google is winding up to something big.

Cut the sh*t Sam. You nearly gave me a heart attack. LOL That November
update nearly wiped me out. I couldn't afford another "Florida".
There are no major changes happening right now. Just the normal consistent
changes.

I believe what we are seeing is a minor "sifting" right B4 the monthly
change.

I had a new page indexed and shot to #1 for the category in three days as a
result of the freshbot update. Today that page is nowhere to be found.

My assumption is that it will be back, indexed and on top in a few days when
Google incorporates the results of its freshbot update for the month of
February 2004.

I still have not seen any PR or back links update since early Feb.

It has to happen soon!

Disregard.

Strike the above post by me. This Google "shift" is now showing in my
neck of the woods of the Internet. Looks like some substantial changes. I'm
not sure the word "update" means what it used to with Google. For those
wanting to check things out:

I specifically direct those checking to do so at this Google datacenter:

I hate to blow my own horn but I told you guys so way before any of you
saw it didn't I? And once again you questioned my devine wisdom. At
least Robert you could be a guy and admit "Well Sam it looks like usual
you were right and ahead of all of us as is usally the case". But it's
cool I know that's what you were thinking so apolgy accepted. The King
hath spoken! (It's good being the king).

Pretty neat google tracking tool above but I think I'll just have www,
www2, and the first data center to change at mine for awhile yet. Much
easier to see what's going on that way.
