Why not? After a major Google drop off Y! is actually picking up the slack
and is responsible for ~45% of my traffic now. If you have not checked
your Y! stats lately, you might want to do it now. You could see some nice
surprises there!

Since midnight, I had 5 visits to algebra.com referred by Yahoo, and
1,292 by Google. (unless I miscounted something)

Conclusions? 99% of People who are interested in Algebra prefer google.
Having said that, the only person I know who uses Yahoo is my older sister.

And you think your older sister alone makes it a #1 visited site in the
world?
It is true that it may not be a good fit for particular categories, but in
general Yahoo! is still very important. It actually becomes more important
every day, at least on my sites.
Another thing to consider is: my own conversions are about 10 times better
for traffic that came from Y! than from G. I don't sell enough products
online to make any general conclusions but it may be true that a visitor
from Y! is 10 more important than a visitor from G if you look at it from
ROI stand point.

I had an obsessive Google focus until recently. But - as I've posted
elsewhere - after I put up Google sitemaps crawling almost stopped and
Google's cached version of one of my is utterly obsolete.

So I reverted to general SEO rather than pandering to Google's foibles.
Yahoo and MSN together now exceed my Google traffic, and I too suspect
that Yahoo visitors view more pages than Google visitors.

Among other things, for instance - Yahoo still uses the keyword
metatag. Which can sometimes be handy.

Do you update and resubmit your sitemaps? Do you advise that your
pages change often or not at all?
