Ok i work for and built http://www.inexprinting.com and am looking for every SEO trick to enhance the site. I know that a big part of Rank seems to be how much content there is on your site, with some of our competition having 500-700 pages using the site: command. Some of our competition have links into their shopping carts that have been indexed by Google and I was thinking about working our cart this way as well. As a Printing company though products actually include quantity. So an example of 3 products would be 500 business cards, 1000 business cards, 1500 business cards. I'm thinking if i don't generate original content for each of those products then I would get a duplicate content penalty. Which leads me to believe that some of our competition are getting negatives for this practice because the only thing changing on each of those pages is the quantity of the product, 500, 1000, 1500 and getting a duplicate content penalty. My specific question would be: if you have product pages and the only difference between some of them is the quantity of the product, 500, 1000, 1500, does that incur a duplicate content penalty? Thanks in advance for anyone that can shed some light! Dice, http://www.inexprinting.com |
