Default Linking inernal pages? - 08-16-2004 , 11:01 PM

Hi Everyone,

I have all of my pages 100% interlinked at www.usernomics.com . But I have
done it in three ways: Navigation Buttons, Site Map, and Footer.

Do you think I would loose anything by removing the footer completely? I
mean, do I need the footer, given the other two linking structures, in terms
of getting similar page rank across the site?

Thanks a lot,

Bob

Assuming your site map is built round normal text links and not
shrouded in layers of javascript, then you're fine with just that.

Hello Bill,

Yes, everything is normal html links in both Navigation Buttons on each page
and on the Site Map.

Do you think I gain anything by having the footer as well or am I just being
redundant?

Thanks Bill,

Bob

If you have working links on the site map, preferably with a word or
two of description, and preferably with descriptive anchor text,
anything else is superfluous. That I can think of off-hand anyhoo.

I might run it through Martin's PR calculator and see what happens.

Thanks Bill and Will.

Will, you lost me on the Martin's PR calculator. I know it's a joke but what
is it?

It's Norwegian. That means it only makes sense if you're eight foot
high and chilly.

This is indeed difficult for non-Danes to understand, even with the bright
colors.

But... it can theoretically help to understand how PR flows internally
throughout your site.

I'd suggest taking immediate cover, BB.
