Liedertafel problem

I am wondering why Google is so reluctant to list the site
http://www.liedertafel.org/, for which my wife is responsible. A Google
search for "Liedertafel Oxford" finds sites which link to the
Liedertafel site, but not the site itself. As far as I can tell the
site has done nothing to offend Google. The problem has continued for
months. The other choir sites she lists at
http://www.maproom.co.uk/sally/ are found by Google.

Google hasn't found any sites linking in to your wife's site.
Therefore, it ranks lower than other sites. You can check her link
popularity against pages that rank higher at
http://www.submitexpress.com/linkpop/
She needs other sites out there to link to here in order to convince
Google the site is worthy of a higher rank. If those other choir sites
are already linking to her, then it's probably just a matter of time.

Given the nature of the site, it is also possible to submit it to a Web
directory like DMOZ. It is more reliable and valuable than a link because
it is not promotional.
