Default Leaking Page Rank - slight return - 07-02-2005 , 12:05 PM

Curiously, the whole

leaking page rank

thingie that I know so little about doesn't seem to be doing me any
actual harm...I'm at positions 1 & 2 for the term.

Is leaking Page Rank a widely used term? I think PR leak is the hardest
SERP. But hey you are still OK. Anyway, the reason I am saying that is most
people use PR over Page Rank, when writing etc.

I was a little tired upon first reading your posting and thought you were #1
and 2 for ho hum.:-)

What does matter is where it leaks to; be selective. Leak to bad and you
will get trouble back. Leak to good and you will be OK.

Best regards, Eric.

Yeah, it can be bad linking to the wrong thing. I just had to take care of
copying my content and some page hi-jacks, which can harm you if you don't
get it taken care of.

Which is what I was saying with my apples observations.

Just checked, nope.:-) You should be! Ho hum is a pretty decent sized SERP
beleive it or not. :-)

Nope, and I emailed at the gmail address. I hate people vanishing also. I
mean, you really don't know what happens....especially when they are usually
strong posters and then nothing. You just don't know if something
happened...like what happened with James. :-(

I checked the cache of the primer website and it has a cache date of June
18th. At least that shows a change.

Well, of course. Google even tells you to not link to bad neighborhoods. :-)

The reason why there is leaking PR is mathematical...and it is simple. I
don't even have to go through long formulas to prove it. One thing, yes or
no? Which page passes less PR a PR4 page with 100 links or a PR4 page with
10 links? The PR4 page with 100 links passes less, right? Now here is the
thing. You have a PR4 page that passed PR to your other pages as long as you
don't keep adding links it will pass the same amount of PR, add more links
to that page it will pass less PR to your other pages that was linked making
the whole site have less PR, not getting less away from the page right away,
but when the calculation goes through the site. Same with any page, you add
more links to your index page, it will pass less to the others, and so on.
But if you gain links it will all work out in the end.

I just say not to worry to much about it. Link to decent new sites because
in the end it will come back to ya. Maybe not with in a few months, but it
will. I have and those new sites gained PR and passed the favor in return.
