...late 90's search engines

b3141 (AT) netzero (DOT) com .....in the late 90's, there were a few "for pay"
search engines......you paid a one-time yearly fee and then you could
access articles from magazines and articles from many, many united
states newspapers-----actually, the one i belonged to had articles from
canadian and uk newspapers also

i can't think of the name of these.....are any still in
existence....or have any new ones cropped up ......thanks for your
response

That may help you start on searching for something like you are
describing. The term "database[s]" may be more applicable than "search
engine[s]" these days?
