The joy of search

Hey just wondering if anyone knows of any better search engines than
google? Or even interesting search engine facts - I'm doing a class
assignment on the topic and help would be greatly appreciated.

You could try Vivisimo which uses cluster technology. Or the, um, er,
French one which also has a different approach - name s'il vous
plaits. somebody?

I prefer Google. The results of the other search engines (like msn,
yahoo, etc). I cannot name a better search engine than google, but you
can findan overview of more than 500 search engines at
http://www.metacazar.com.
Maybe the're something interesting for you.
