Default An Item For Google Watchers - 06-12-2004 , 02:50 PM

Hi...I thought this news story on Google's forthcoming IPO and aspects of
the company's future might be of interest. I've had problems in the past
trying to copy and paste urls that exceed one line length so prefix the
following with typed http://
money.cnn.com/2004/06/10/technology/techinvestor/lamonica/index.htm?cnn=yes
Regards, Nick

Or alternatively you could use the correct syntax:
<URL:http://money.cnn.com/2004/06/10/tech...lamonica/index.
htm?cnn=yes>

Take a look at the bottom of page 33 in here:
<URL:http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2396.txt>

Note: Most newsreader and mail applications these days can manage without
the "URL:" part, but the angle brackets are essential if your URL extends
over more than one line.

Hi...Thanks for the helpful info. It's been one of those small but
vexing things for a long time ... like my adjustable height swivel chair
that decides to drop me an inch or two once every other month; not a
biggy to warrant a major fixit effort but irritating.
Regards, Nick
