No. IP addresses have no relation whatsoever to email addresses.

So tell us how you'd get the email address from an IP address then.

If you're meaning you'd do a whois on an IP address then all that's normally
going to give you is the email address of administrator type addresses. For
example doing a whois on 207.46.245.230 (one of Microsoft's nameservers)
you get a few such as noc at microsoft dot com, abuse at hotmail dot com
and so on.

So are there any other ways to get an email address from an IP address?

Some ISPs encode the user in their subdomain, e.g.

10.x.x.x => john.example.invalid => john (AT) example (DOT) invalid

Ah I see. I've only ever seen domain names encoded into IP address before
and not email addresses.

Technically it's a (sub)domain but since the ISP uses the account name as
subdomain name you can "guess" the email address.

Also, I know people who post a link in a Usenet group, and do educated
guesses about who is who. But that is more social engineering :-D.

Hundreds of users, or websites can share a single IP number,
so the general answer is no!

A dialup IP might correspond to any one of thousands of ISP
customers depending on what time they dialled up.

...or it could correspond to any website (of 100s) on a shared server...
