I have been researching some seo companies out there and have come
across one called internetadvancement.com
Does anybody have any experience with them?

Another I was looking at was bruceclay.com
It looks like this site is more of a do-it-yourself kinda thing.
Any comments or advise would be appreciated.

PS - please don't give me advertisements for other seo's, i just want
advise on these two as of now.

I actually create lists to save me time. I put as much detail as I
could think of in my web site promotion site so that I would have less
emails to answer. Less emails to answer equals more time for actual
work. It is always the same when I put my two cents in a newsgroup to
try and help someone. I spend the next three days answering stupid
questions, but I know better and I fall into wanting to help someone
anyway.

So, I have a need to be helpful to others, in particular to Canadian
businesses that get soaked from "self-promoters". A self-promoter is
anyone who bribes a search engine selling themselves as good when in
fact they simply have some money to say they are good. Their actual
results are for obscure terms that have very little, if any, search
frequency. For example, one guy was the best because he scored in the
top 10 in 5 major search engines for "Brampton shoe stores". Whoopity
dooda deh! He must be good! The problem with self-promoters is that
they hurt the SEO industry. Canadian businesses that approach me for
answers are skeptical about hiring me because their budgets have run
out and their web sites are now nowhere to be found anywhere on any
major search engine.

A real SEO pro understands the need to optimize for long term results,
self promoters take the money and run, leaving legitimate clients
shaking their heads, with no Internet exposure, pockets inside out and
emailing me for answers.

This is a personal site providing web site promotion by search engine
optimization information to mainly Canadian businesses. My business
interests are not in this market, although I do get some inquiries
