Default Internet Marketing E-Book - PPC Commando - 05-05-2004 , 10:45 AM

Hi,

I was looking for good e-books recently on internet marketing and pay per
click adverts, and got sucked in by one called "PPC Commando".
The spiel on the website sounded cool, and I was curious more than anything
as I was thinking of writing some e-books myself and wanted to see the
format etc.

I haven't really touched e-books before so wasn't sure what to expect, but
this was worse than anything I had anticipated.
It's really poor quality and has no useful information.

It was only $18 wasted, so no big deal, but I was trying to think of a way
to salvage this poor purchase, so thought I'd make it a free download on my
site.
So if anyone has seen this book advertised and curious as to what it was
like, you can download it for free from my site:
http://www.findoutabout.co.uk/intern...marketing.aspx

Cheers
Rob

If might be a rip off, but you're still violating copyright by publishing
someone else's work. They could and probably will start litigation against
you for this.

"Probably will" - How on earth did you arrive at that conclusion?

The book purchase came with full re-sale rights.
The book comes with advice on how to resell it, or suggests giving it away
if you want.

I decided it was only fit for the latter.

Thanks for your concern though! I will have my Penguin Book Of Law at the
ready just in case they do as you predict...

That's very kind of you but won't the copyright owners be a bit cross?

I arrived that that conclusion because a lot of companies now see copyright
abuse as an additional revenue stream. I don't see how a company charging
$18 for an e-book is going to be happy for you to distribute it for free.
There's a big difference between giving something away and distributing it.
Your Penguin book of law might be able to help you there!

I probably should have made it clearer in the original post that I have the
full rights to give it away.
They even suggested adding it to a website as added value content (that was
the best idea they had).

What did you think of it anyway, Andrew?

Thanks for clearing that up. I haven't looked at it yet.
