Information in the Google Result List

When looking at a Google Result List, the last line for an entry shows

- the full URL
- the size
- the date when Google saw the page
- "cached", "similar pages" links

But sometimes no date is given. Why?

It only lists dates within the last three days or so. I don't know why
because a date on everything would be useful. But you can see the last
cached date for most pages if you click the 'cached' link.

I checked, and yes you are right. The date in the Result List "fades away"
after a couple of days.

When viewing the cached version of the page, the date can or cannot be seen.
Maybe it also depends on how old the pages are.
