Default Indexed but out of date cache - 07-11-2006 , 01:12 PM

Hi,

I have created a website for our company at
www.premiercarsystems.co.uk. It's quite a new site which is still
under construction (hence current lack of pictures). I've got it all
validated, sitemaps done and submitted, robots.txt done and submitted.
I've put in keywords (apparently this works for yahoo) and
descriptions.

However it's not being properly crawled by google and the cache is way
out of date (although uses the current css background?).

I'm working on getting good backlinks, however we are far too stingy to
pay for these (apart from the one at
http://www.alarmsandsecurity.net/veh...nghamshire.php due to it being
indexed) and I refuse to do any business with anyone who cold calls the
shop to sell us these.

We are currently paying for Google adwords to keep us in the top
searches whilst I'm working on the freebie search.

Any ideas on why this hasn't been recached? Am I just being impatient
or do I need to get many more backlinks?

Also, although it validates, it does appear slightly different in
Firefox. If I inserted a bit of code e.g. javascript to add a bit of
spacing to the appearence for Firefox browsers would this have much of
an impact on the googlebots?

I'm new to website optimisation so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Weeble

Hmm, the address caught me right away. Erica and Stacey used to be best of
friends, then Erica decided to go after Stacey's husband and marry him.

The background with the pink is rough on the eyes. Especially when one is
already not feeling well with allergies. So, I didn't get to far in looking
into the site, besides the address.:-)

Your Cache in Google is non existent although they have a record of 9 of
your pages
http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourc...2Eco%2 Euk%2F

Looking at your back links
http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=lin...&cop=&ei=UTF-8
there are only 2 recorded that are not internal, and both of these are
either from low PR pages or have a significant number of outgoing links on
the page. A good starting point would be to get a listing in a major
directory like DMOZ or Yahoo! Google does have a habit of ignoring sites
almost completely if they don't have at least a couple of decent quality
incoming links.

Be patient, Google does take it's own time. But get on with your link
building, article submission, PR syndication - market your website, build
content and your authority, earn your place at the top of Google

It would help you if when submitting to directories
you actually include a link back to your site ;o)

Thanks, but I didn't mean that, reciprocals
are not a condition to get a listing in my directory.

What I meant was, when you add a listing to a directory
don't forget to add your own URL.
I found you in mine, but you forgot to include a link back
to your site )
I will go in and set it for you this afternoon.

Thanks

You didn't have the URL when we listed ourselves back in September
because we didn't have the URL properly set up then. I noticed the date
when I updated other bits in that entry last night.
