No, the webmaster needs to try and get it removed from the index. Did the
pages get removed from the site or did the info change on the site. Even
still there has been old caches showing up once a pages is changed. TJ
another regular found this out just recently. Have you tried to ask Google
these questions?

I believe actual number is above 10 years, but I really don't
remember when Google started indexing

--> The older a cached copy is, the higher
the probability is that the original page has
been either substantially edited or removed.
If Google just keeps old junk together with
up-to-date pages, then its cache will be less
and less accurate, and Google will soon have
a major problem.

Cached pages has its benefits at times - even if that actual page is
no longer available. The cached data will be updated eventually and
when it is then the older data will be purged _at that time_.
